What now?

Featured Replies

So I took a scouting trip to the two ponds on my golfcourse and it seems the bass are starting to bed. They don't seem locked on yet more like they're just getting ready. I also saw a bunch of huge bass just cruising at the surface around the ponds. I threw a tiny spinnerbait a Zara Puppy and a baby brush hog with no hits.

Question is: is this normal for this time of year for them to have lockjaw? Any suggestions for getting these fish to bite?

Thanks

It really doesn't sound like anything I've heard of. Do know that if you can see them, they can see you. May be why they aren't paying any attention :-/...

You're right on the threshold of the spawn buddy.  Sounds to me like the bucks are lining up to compete for the best nesting spots and the she-bass are cruising around searching for a suitable mate/nest.  You, my friend, need to be patient.  Wait till they key in on their bed, then they will strike
