Lake Norman ???

Featured Replies

I am heading up there from Augusta Ga. in 2 weeks for a family vacation and I am looking for some help on patterns, baits and some ideas for fishing this lake. Since my wife said the Ranger can go with us I plan on spending some time on the water. Thanks for any help.

I fish the other lakes around these parts mostly but.....

dock fishin is probably where you'd have the most success this time of year.  also, shakey head cuz the lake has lots of spots.

google "fishing with rusty" and it will pop up some local reports.  plus you can ask him a question on the forum and he'll respond.  i think rusty even did a show out there where he tore em up on a shakey head.  hit the internet show link......

Better yet, for lake norman, check out the reports here. Anything by LKNBassman, he fishes Norman and has really good reports regularly.

Captain,

The link didn't work.

Spotaholic,

The bream are on the nest now it seems and in the mornings the bass are hanging out near shore before the heat drives them deeper. Try fishing early and using crankbaits along the shore that resemble baby bass or bluegill. Also, try using silver grubs weightless and reeling fast where you see bass jump. SliderGrubs work well.

Woops.  Stupid link won't take for some reason.....

Google "bass fishing home page", first result.

You have to click fishing reports and pick the state.....

That should work.

Tom Bass....will PM you sometime.  Maybe we can trade some bassin ponds around Concord.  I have a few good ones but most ponds around here aren't that great.

You guys in Concord have it made living so close to a Bass Pro! I *** ya'll!
