Just started fishing about a month ago. Mostly night fishing and mostly for cats. I am interested in learning more about bass catchin. Seems more interesting than letting the hook sit there til something hits it.

Looks like you live in Atalla.  I am in Leeds but I fish Neely Henry almost every time out and that is in your neck of the woods.  Always in the market for a fishing partner especially one who doesn't mind not loading the boat on these hot summer days.  I usually will try to hit the water off of Greensport Road in Canoe Creek around noon or so and bass fish until dark thirty, then I start catfishing if I haven't had enough.  We also noodle for catfish on Neely Henry but the noodling season is done for this year.  Drop me a message if you are interested in getting on the water and we'll hook up within the next few weeks.
