Lucky Craft Live Pointer

I bought one, thinking it would be like a jointed rap on steroids. WRONG! It hardly had any wiggle at all. Bad action, total waste of money. The regular pointers are great though.

So what are some of your experiences with the live pointer?

I have one, but won't be buying anymore.  I didn't dislike it, but it's nothing special and I just like the regular pointers.  The jointed tail seems kind of pointless to me if you're gonna use it like a jerkbait, but if you're ever going to use a steady retrieve (I never do), the live pointer definitely has better swimming action.

Well, I bought one when they were first introduced and caught a real nice catfish! I haven't had much luck with the lure and don't like the weight, it's too light for my taste. On the otherhand, BPS had them on sale last year for $5 or $6 and I bought two more! I guess I'm just a collector.  :;)

I never fish the lures and would not recommend them.

I have pretty good luck with them in colder water.  It's the first suspending jerkbait I throw after iceout.  Don't have much luck with them after that though.

i bought one last year on a whim at BPS cuz it looked cool. well then i got home and read reviews on cabelas and bass pro's website, and everybody said that after a few fish the wire that holds the lure together snapped.

i casted mine and it hit a dock and broke. lucky craft gave me a new one though ;)

i never even opened the new one though. i sold it.

wont be buying any more.

i dont use them. if im gonna use a jointed minnow i use a rebel one but the one i use is a floatin one. i cant find a suspending one anymore

I bought  one when they first came out. I've had fair success with it, nothing more.
