What's with the Shadalicious Smell?

Featured Replies

I opened a few packages today, and they all smell like magicmarkerx1000...Whoa, it made me a little dizzy, then again, I kept smelling it all the way home...

Will this strong smell affect the bass's reaction to it?

The Bass magic' smell like this too....I took them out and aired them out in the garage for a few days,  then rinsed in water and now they sit in a ziplock  soaking in  cb's Hawg Sauce.....They should be ok now   ;)

I almost bought the bass magic.  The ones I opened didn't smell like anything, but they were a few dollars higher, so I went with the strike kings...

I'll try your idea and air these puppies out, then douse them in something.

Berkley Hollow Bellies smell like some kind of toxic plastic chemical

to quote Tin: "Opened a pack in the truck and i got a buzz"  ;)

They all have that smell.  Coating with Megastrike and fishing for a day doesn't really alleviate the smell much either.

All the plastic swimmbaits or padletail large minnows I have checked out or purchased have that chemical smell of rubber.  I don't know if it will drive the fish away but it sure hasn't driven fisherman away from buying them.
