#1.  Yes.  The lake main lakes get a lot of activity, especially on the weekends with jet skiers.  The canal systems aren't to crowded but only few people courteous enough to slow down when passing you.

#2.  My best lures have been 7.5 - 10 inch worms.  June Bug, Red Shad and Black.  Shad Raps and chrome rattle traps also produce.

#3.  Anywhere there is no boat traffic bothering you.  Don't be afraid to fish in the middle of the lake.

#4. Lake averages 6-10 feet.  There are places that get 25' though.

any of you fished lake ida in delray? is it possible to do some good shore fishing there?

There's a few decent spots you can get to by foot, but there are a lot of trees around there overhanging and stuff... Definitely better on a boat, but you can do some shore fishing... I caught a nice 3 pounder outta there a few days ago on my lunch break!

What part of the lake was that, and what color and kind of lure was it?

I've been to Lake Osborne and lake Ida quite a few times and despite the raves I hear I have not done well from shore, I need to know the spot, lol.

My best freshwater success has been in the canals in both Delray and Boynton.  My latest favorite technique has been a gold 1/4 oz spoon(weedless ok) and cast as far as I can to the opposite shore and retrieve fairly quick on a diaganal to where I'm standing on the bank.  This has been productive latley.
