I live in NoVA and I was wondering if anyone has been out latley to any large bodies of waters, Lake Anna, Potomac River, Rapp. I'm kinda getting cabin fever!  

Not yet but I'm chomping at the bit to get out.  If you need a seat filled just let me know a week or two ahead and I'll be there in a heartbeat!  

I have not got out yet, however I have been receiving reports from National Bass on the potomac river fishing. They are catching bass with silver buddies right now.

I fished Briery Creek last Monday and Tuesday. Caught a total of 43 bass and 9 pickerel for the two days.

I read a report on another site about Anna for Saturday where most of the bass were caught downlake around the Dukes Creek area with a drop shot rig.

One of the tournaments I fish the head guy went out to Anna on the 3rd and he caught a nice 6.13 Must be nice to already be slamming some good ones!!! >

Wayne, were you having success witht the dropshot rig too? I'm having troubles down in NC...

daviscw, no, I wasn't. I was fishing above vegetation that is 4'- 6' in height. I caught the most using a Chatterbait, Rat-L-Trap, and a wacky rigged worm.

I fished Aquia creek a couple of weeks ago for a few hours without any success. Really didn't even find fish on my electronics until late in the day out in the larger bays near the main river. By that time the wind was blowing, and it was time to go.  If I were to go back I would say slow rolling a spinnerbait through the grass.

Some guys I know have had pretty good success on the Occoquan fishing silver buddies, but I can't personally attest.

Where is there grass out there already? I haven't been out there yet, but last year there was no grass until late in March. I need to get out there ASAP so I can start giving some reports. ;D

Right now I have the boat pulled completely apart, no seats on the boat, TM off the bow, no batteries in the boat. I am in the process of cleaning it out completely so that when I finally do get to go the boat is looking good. But the first thing I have to do is take it to Mare of Aquia and get the motor worked on. Last Sept. I grabbed a crabpot and screwed up my motor. I just haven't had the money to pay my deductible yet to get it fixed.

No worries, when ever you want to go let me know, even if we beat the bank.

How are you coming along with makeing baits, any progress yet.

Well.... HAHA The bait making is on hold now, I found out it costs a lot of money to start. So I am mainly focusing my time into making my boat shine pretty good and making sure all the tackle I already own is ready to use. I will be heading out on Tuesday to test my boat, I will be bringing some tackle with me but I doubt I will fish much. I want to test my motor and figure out if my boat will last until I get some money to put my boat in the shop. I know I maight be pushing it but oh well. Another buddy of mine has his boat that I can use while mine is broke. HAHA

Haha aint that the truth.  Sometimes I look through my tackle and realize how much I've got I dont use.  But of course you always "need that new thing I heard about."  The baitmonkey is a dangerous animal

Yea I have already gone over all of my tackle about 15 times now. But everytime I find more stuff that I want to fix. HAHAHA

Hey that is how I feel when I find myself at the fishing aisle, at wally world. You know the feeling when you have to buy that certain lure that you already have but don't use because,,,,, hmmmm I don't know why but you have to get it.
