Looking for some good fishing spots in Jacksonville, FL

Featured Replies

I'm not having much luck finding good areas to fish. I don't have a boat so it makes things a bit difficult. Anybody have any suggestions?

I second that. I live in the area also so far my best luck has been in swimming pen creek out of doctors lake.

hannah park is good, and there are several wildlife management areas around the city with desent fishing. and there is guana but that is not bass fishing.

i have a good friend that lives there and we just went around hitting up ponds in apartment complexes.  jax is pretty limited on freshwater it seems.

Only one spot comes to mind and it's a pretty big spot.  St. Johns river.  No boat needed.  Just wade.  Did it for years.

Theres a small lake on the backside of UNF that looks pretty good but too overgrown to fish off the bank i believe. Anyone have a small boat and wanna try it?
