Need help on Chesapeake/VaBeach area

Featured Replies

I'll be staying in Chesapeake from Tues. till Sunday next week.  We're staying at relatives place and I'm planning on fishing everyday.  We normally hit up some local ponds and fish the Northwest River.  We are planning on checking out Whitehurst and maybe some others.  What's our best bet on bass fishing down there right now?

Thanks guys!

We've planned on Whitehurst Wed., NW River Thurs., local ponds to include a local hawg hole we've visited many times on Fri.

I just got back from an awesome few days of fishing.  We did decent on Whitehurst with a few 2-3lbers but the N'west river really did good.  We caught may a dozen on Thursday topped by one that was 21 1/2" long and about 7lbs.  Between Thurs. and Fri. on the river we caught about 10 bass over 3lbs.  I also caught my first bowfin and white bass.  Bad part was that we busted a prop on a stump on Friday evening.

You busted a prop in the Northwest?  I can't imagine   ;).

Good job.  If you have any pics, post them up.
