Chantilly Pond Fishing 6/11

Featured Replies

OK, So I've found a pond that I know has some decent fishing... it's at the end of Brookfield corp Dr. behind some sort of FFX County building... looks like it might be some sort of hike through the woods to get to it, but it may be worth it.. if anyone is interested in possibly hitting this up on Sat afternoon/evening PM Me

The place we bought our backyard playground from is around there.  I've driven around and there are several corporate park ponds there.  I was tempted to wet a line a few weeks ago, but I had all the kids with me.  Let us know how you do.

i fished the little pond right near the hotel there and didnt catch anything, but that pond ur talking about looks legit... wish i had known that existed when i went out there haha... gonna be gone all weekend, or id join.. but let us know the results

I know these ponds. First of all, the pond near the hotel definitely holds fish. I've been fishing there since i worked at the waterpark there in 05. Pop-R's are big there, and senkos work well too.

Now, the pond behind that government building, that's another story. Seems like it's extremely illegal to fish there. If I fish there, it's only on weekends. Holds huge fish. During the spawn I saw at least 10 5 lbers, and it's DEEP. If you're into drop shotting, you should try it there. To even get into the complex, you have to walk through poison ivy and find the spot in the barbed wire fence that's cut. I have work on Saturday night, but if you're willing to go Sunday, I can do that around 5.

I don't know which pond Rush is talking about but check out the one on the corner of Walney and Westfields. I'm pretty sure it is legal to fish it and there is parking right next to it. Also, I know for a fact there is at least one 5lber in there from only a couple times fishing there.

Gotta love chantilly and all these dam contractor parking lots and commercial ponds...

I've been out to almost every one unfortunately you find out pretty qucik whether or not they are legal to fish.  It would be nice for folks to post signs so you would know.  There are some that have em' but most don't.  Most of the time if you are respectful though and go on a weekend hardly anyone ever gives you a hard time (most places).

Ps: That area where walney and westfields are Dan was talking about has some good number ponds and there are some nice fish swimming around in em' too.  Good times.

haha... yeah there's so many of them I almost have a hard time figuring out which ones to fish.

JCrazy4Bass, that info you gave me was solid! I tried out a few of those spots this past week with pretty good results. We'll have to hit those or others up sometime.

I fished a couple ponds in Herndon off Centreville rd last night... caught a dink and 3 LMB, biggest was a tad over 2lb. Not bad for an hour or so of fishin'... I'm determined to catch a lunker this year from one of these honey holes.
