Wading/Rock Hopping at Pony Pasture?

Featured Replies

Might head out tomorrow as my wife is off of work, and taking the baby to the pool.  Worth wading a bit and rock hopping Pony Pasture (walk up river)  Did it last year once or twice and didn't have any luck.  Suggestions?  Checked the water level and it's average at green.

I haven't been since last year. Just be careful. That place can be tricky. I personally wouldn't wade that area until the water was pretty low. If you can make your way over to the dam safely you might want to try over there. I think there are some productive holes over there but you might have some trouble getting there if the water is moving fast.

Check this site before going.

Until the water gets below 4 ft, wading is hard.  It usually does not get below 4 feet until later in the summer and early fall.
