Which species?

Deep is a relative term.  In TX they say anything over 5' is deep. ;)

For me deep is 40' and deeper.  For that type of fishing I use jigs, grubs, drop shot, and jigging spoons.  71' is the deepest I have personally caught fish and that was on grubs.

i use a dropshot rig and deep crankbaits..my favorite crankbaits are the normans and the dt22 rapala

I'd be interested in knowing where I could get one of these!  ;)

Make that two people interested.  Something new I don't know about?

Texas Rig or Jig-N-Craw   ;)

If I am fishing deep and assuming the fish are not supending. I figure they are pickin cray fish on the bottom. if a crayfish lookin crank or jig gets you there then use them if not throw a caralina rigged tube, worm, or whatever u like !!

When I fish deep i usually like to run a deep crank, and then when get a bite or catch one, i set up there for a bit and dropshot a beaver and rattle of the same color crank.

For deep water I like drop shotting, senkos on light line, jigheads with grubs, deep cranks, and carolina jigs. The jig and grub works better than anything in clear waters, especially around rocky structure.
