Long story short; my fishing buddy moved to Blue Ridge; I've got a 9.5 ft bass pond boat that works well on Burke, the Rez, Beaverdam Creek Res, Lake Brittle, etc.  Looking for new fishing buddy; need help loading/unloading boat into back of my minivan.  Can fish most weekends; no cost to buddy.  Have all required equpment even life jackets.

I'm 56 years young; trying to be a better fisherman each year, work as government contractor and retired military (around here who isn't?).  Have dry sense of humor.  Married with two grown kids; both gone from home.

My house is at the Springfield/Burke line just off the Parkway close to Giant/Huntsman.

If you think you can put up with me, send PM and we'll see if we get along.

Ron

Good to see you. I am sure you will get many takers on that offer considering many do not have boats and enjoy meeting others. I will have to take you up on that offer. My inflatable raft can be a nightmare to fish out of.

I'm down! I'm just down the parkway near the mall. I'll pm you my info. just let me know when and where and i'll try my best to make it!

Parrothead, I'm glad you're still posting, it's been a while! We met in passing one time at Huntsman without even knowing we were both on this forum. That must have been about three years ago! I'd be glad to tag along anytime you need a partner!

Thanks to the three fellow NVA fishermen who resoponded.  I'll sure and contact you when the weather finally settles down and we'll take the "yacht" out for a spin.

I'm local as well. I live off Huntsman. I primarily fish the Potomac, Occ res. (tourneys), and Huntsman. I always like fishing with new people.

Hey man shoot me a PM when you want to go out next. I am always looking for a partner to go out with either in their boat or mine. 8-)

I'm also down. Kind of tough to get out sometimes, but I can let you know immediately if I'm available or not.

You can PM me before that lousy Cowboys fan, too.

Ooh Ooh (raises hand furiously).  Pick me pick me!

I grew up in the Vint Hill area, and used to walk down to Lake Brittle all the time.  As of late I've not had a chance to take my new little boat up that way, but if you're planning on getting wet and need a hand loading/unloading/cleaning I'd be more than happy to tag along.

vaparrothead,

I live right across the street from you off Lee Chapel/South Run.  Right now I mostly hit up Foutainhead, Burke and Lake Mercer.   Let me know and we can meet up to tear up some fish!

I'm a little late to this party, and loading/unloading gear is about the only thing I'd be good for.  But I'm in the neighborhood -- fifteen minutes to Fountainhead from my house, less to the Lake Ridge launch -- so by all means drop me a line!  The same goes for you other NOVA folks, too, as long as you don't mind the fact that I'm pretty clueless about bass fishing.
