x2: Great days for many. I'll be out there Friday.

Nice fish there. Going out this weekend to Westmoreland, hopefully the warmer temperature will help.

Where's Westmoreland?

Westmoreland county, bout and hour East of Fredericksburg.

I had an awesome day today. Took off work a little early seeing as it was crazy nice outside, and I hit a nearby pond with my kids. We caught 10+ in a couple hours, including a beautiful 5 pounder. A great time was had by all.

would have been happy with just this and a s-load of fries

Finally I got into some fish the last three days. I fished my local reservoir for a few hours each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (today).

All the fish I caught on Friday and Saturday were in the creek channel drop near the back of a cove. No size, biggest was around 2 lbs (which is okay for this lake), but caught a bunch of them. I threw a red eye shad and an LC Gunfish on Friday. All hits on the trap came on the fall (I was yo-yoing it), and the hits on the topwater came on the pause. I missed having a jerkbait with me. The only one I had, a KVD wild shiner, turned out to be a lemon. It sank like a darned stone.

Came back on Saturday with a Pointer and the Gunfish. Cleaned them up on the jerkbait, caught nothing on the topwater.

Today was mighty tough. I found a few fish at the very back of the cove, in real shallow water, but buried inside laydowns. Caught half a dozen on weightless senkos.

Hey Ben nice fish. Now just catch 4 more of those a day and you''l cash some checks.I wish it was that easy. My first tournament I fished last year I caught three 4 pounders in about an hour in the same spot. Couldnt catch any more keepers , several 14 inchers but 15 inches was the minimum for weigh in,  just weighed in my 11.8 pounds and called it a day.

thanks man. show me where to catch 4 more and you can keep the money ;D

i didnt mention the 20 odd dinks i caught... the first picture should tell you a lot about what i consider a "good" fish, haha.  thats about as good as it gets for me.

hell with it, id rather catch dinks than waste sunlight at work 8-)

nice fish ben got a couple spots for you to try you in richmond va where did you catch thos at ?

those were at a private mill pond in new kent, i can barely get in.  pretty soon im gonna have access and a boat on woodhaven, after that i wont mind showing a few people around.

Fished a private pond yesterday and finally caught my first fish. 7 bass + 2 crappie. Bunch of dinks. One maybe close to 1lb.

Caught them all on a white beetle spin. I was really trying to see if I could catch a couple of crappie to eat.

Going back tomorrow with bass on the brain.

I feel ya man. Caught a 1lb+ crappie last year on a jerkbait and thought I was reelin in a big bass. Was disappointed to see what was hooked, but always happy to catch a fish.

On a different note...panfish hit like a whale no matter what size. Thinking about fishing for sunnies more this year.

thanks! i was so excited to get it in the net that i shook for probably 5 minutes afterwards.

did the same thing when i pulled this pig out in Prince William County
