my cousins fish stumpy lake a ton, its a pretty shallow lake if thats what your looking for, western branch is more of a big lake environment stump and smith are much smaller the other two reservoirs are some where in the middle maybe a little more towards western branch style. but then again i don't know a whole lot about the area just what ive gathered this past month and what ive been told and seen while scouting.

I'm moving to Norfolk VA from Spotsylvania VA to attend Odu. I need a kayak fishing partner for the fall and winter. My roommate is staying up in spotsy for a month or so, so I will need someone to hit the water with. I'm looking to hit the fresh but also wanna hit the salt so pm if anyone is interested. Caught 3 out near mouth of Potomac two 40 plus in that hit togther so that double and then a 33 late in the day. Will be back out Thursday and Friday, I will also post some picture late as well.

Any one been out on the bay for strippers recently. I'm going out next Saturday and need to know what they are hitting and where. i heard its been good on eels under floats in the smith point area but i have a trolling set up as well as floats. any info helps.

Im trying to plan a trip down the new river but dont know where its safe to travel for a 3 day trip on canoes, ive done the doah on the canoe and got through the rapids there but im looking for something a little calmer, im thinking 3 days about 15 to 20 miles. all help is appreciated

went out the other day and caught 2 shad haha one was actually 12" so was a fun experience

i haven't done much winter crappie fishing so i need a little help im gonna go fish my local lake this coming week in spotsylvania Virginia temps probably around low 50s all week, ima bring my ultra light so i can get some crappie in the canoe i hope but im not sure on what to use or where i should be fishing exactly, i don't have a depth finder on my canoe and i cant launch my boat here so i cant find to much structure but i know where a bunch is from fishing all summer there. all hep is welcome thanks in advance all.

All fish caught in Virginia, mostly on the Rappahannock River. no ones posted a chain pickerel yet so i guess i will Also some nice yellow perch 6 or 7 citation. and my only gar caught on a sabiki rig ( longnose gar) and just for fun a little surfcasting action from VA beach

what are you guys out there throwing. tried a jerk bait slow and plastics no luck but i was in a pond that does not get very deep maybe 5 max in the middle, but theres some real nice bass in there. whats the average depth your catching at?

im going to get my grand dads old penn longbeach no 67. its in great condition minus the bent/ cracked side piece any one have this piece or know where i can get one, all input would be useful. he got it in panama while he was in the navy in 1965. paid for via the us government hahaha.

sam i got one for xmas im thinking its about 2 oz maybe 3 fully rigged and im throwing it with my frog rod 7ft with 80 lb braid

So shallow everywhere was not a great time and there was a body search going on to by the police so the other boats and helicopters were a little wierd for me.
