launching from port royal tommorow where and with what should i fish im thinking shad baits and spinner baits. input?

im thinking of launching out of port royal on the rapp anyone ever head out of there or got any suggestions for another place?

I have the day off tommorow and am trying to figure out where to put the boat in some what near spotsylvania Anna rap lower rap potomic. Large mouth would like stripper. Where should I go.

went out yesterday and now i remember why i hate that place, no fish ni. not even a bite or a sign of life for 5 hours used everything i could think of. even double fluke in the schools, top water, plastics, spinners, cranks everything!!!!

oh ive got my waders pulled out that is why i was asking i just got a new reeel last month and havnt done any trout fishing so i was really hopeing i could try and get a few before it got to cold.

Does anyone know some good natural tout creeks within an hour or 2 of spotsy

anyone caught any in the rivers or gone out in the bay yet, anyone know if there inside the bay yet?

i live in spotsylvania virginia and im trying to find some good trout waters near by anything under an hour or ill go over if its a really good creek or whatever. ive heard of great trout fishing on the rapidan but only in the upper portion, but i dont know where i would go. any help would be awesome.

i went out on the rapp today motor craped out but i just gotta fiddle with it tonight. dhami caught one and i had a big pike chase a spook nbut that was it, we did go out right after a tournament though. ill be out there tommorow

Nah haven't ever seen to Motts as i recall. this past summer i have hit Anna, the rap, Shenandoah, Ni river res, and the various ponds in the area, found some quite pleasant ones this summer that have been holding some nice bass oh and me and Dhami went out to Quantico to fish a stream we hit every summer. But ill be able to expand this fall with the new boat gonna hit the bay in the next 2 weeks no sure what were gonna go for yet though, gonna have to do a bit of research for that since i don't fish the bay much. Have you tried anything new this season?

so much rain!!!!! messing up my fishing couldn't get out all week cause of these massive downpours we got. now the rivers are full and flowing to hard and the ponds and lakes are murky sad times. It did give me time to work on my newly acquired boat so that it'll be ready to get out on the water this coming week. just in time to take out a friend who is returning for a couple weeks after boot camp and his training school for the air force, very excited to get one of my best friends out on the water again with myself and dhami so we can get some nice bass, the three amigos out once again been to long since we've been out as a whole group watch out bass were coming. how did everyone else spend there time during the inclement weather the past couple weeks?

From what I've read it enters through the nose. So i would assume swimming but its provost not safe to drink either. It's natura kind of like red tide in the ocean.

So it is found in ponds. I know someone who lives in lake of the woods and they said they have it in the smaller of their two lakes!!!

The title says it all. Hearing the news has alarmed me to this deadly pathogen. Has anyone heard where it is or if its effecting all of Virginia and what does this mean for us fishermen in Virginia. I know for sure i have some how ingested some water from the lakes and ponds surrouding the spotsylvania area. It says it is almost always fatal

Paint it with truckbed liner and then carpet the top? I had thought of the liner before
