where is sandy river. id be leaving from spotsylvania so i need to plan accordingly as far as departure time from m home. how is the fishing there and water quality? anything special? Deep water, feeder creeks, structure, urban environment...etc?

Ahh dosent sound like alot of fun. but i never specified what day i went!!!

Any one gone out for the shad in the rapp. i went out two weekends ago and saw a 2 or 3lb one dead in the rapids above the fall line and saw a hawk take one out of the rapids but caught none myself. anyone had any luck if so where at and with what. If anyone is trying to go wade or hit up the docks let me know i really wanna hook in to some before their gone and the hearing come through.

went out to chandlers mill pond reservoir with dhami 3 or 4 weeks ago had this mean 9lb. and some other small 13-16in and one chain pickerel. the next weekend out again same place had multiple chain pickerel largest 22in and 2 bass to go along.

all depends how the weather stays with this last weekends rain and hail storm it killed the fishing for me on sunday but saturday before the rain hit i was getting LMB on lipless cranks on the bottom but that late in april they should be in pre-spawn so you'll have to mix and match see where they are on the water column by then and as far as color not sure how the water is up there down in fredricksburg water still murky either on the river fishing for shad or out on the bounds and resiviors pretty much murky all around. id say just try some different jigs in the shallows try to find some nests they may already be in the shallows or migrating from the old river channels and holes to the shallows. crawfish, or deep rattling crank baits for a reaction bite. hope i helped somewhat ... lol but good luck to you let me know how it goes.

Im getting ready to buy everything i need, got all these ideas on paper just need to put them into action. Whats the best stuff around. hard plastic and soft plastic. any help would be appreciated. Also how do you make an internal rattle for a hard plastic.
