Wait for it . . . . .

I heard they will take a 5 or a 10 quite eagerly, folded length-wise of course.

You might take a bit of a beating . . . .

Might need a little more to convince them to take it off in that cold weather..........

Seriously, Maybe Cousin Vinny will check this thread. He will know what the STRIPERS are biting.

Went out yesterday....was real hit or miss on the radio, some people catching a ton, but most people fighting skunks.

We put a 42" in the boat trolling a shallow bait. Had another bite on the same bait, but lost it setting the hook. South of buoy 41.

Fog was vicious most of the day.

STRIPPERS or STRIPERS? $20 will catch ya a stripper. Not sure about the stripers though.

Thank you. If there be strippers on the Chesapeake I never got to see them!

It was a tough day for sure - I hit the Plantation Light area and bouy 36A and only had one minor nibble on an eel drifted along the bottom. The other kayakers out there with me had 2 take downs but no hook sets. Scanning the channels told the tale - little action for everyone. The pressure on those fish is quite amazing this time of year, and the longer the mild weather holds, the greater the pressure on the them. I might give it another go this Friday.

Well obviously i meant striper, and thank you Hanover_Yakker for actual information. Im going to talk to the guy who cleans my reels see what the others in the area have been doing.

They're there, it just requires a lot of moving to stay on them. If you find baitfish, there is a chance you can get on them. I heard reports all the way north to 41A and south to the high rise. Its hard to discern fact from fiction unless you are on fish. Weather looks promising for Friday,so we'll see.

yea hopefully you hook up let me know if you have any luck, we might try to get on some spot and live line those not sure yet.

im not old enough to catch a stripper. :D

Going again tomorrow, I'll post how we do.

Caught a 33" and a 41" near 37 and 38 on deep baits yesterday. No other knock downs. Day seemed hit or miss again on the radio. Everyone else who was catching said they were on stretches, but again....few and far between.

Small stripers, 2 - 2 & 1/2 lbs, are still biting just outside of Penrod Cove at the WW Bridge on the Potomac.

Got it on a drop-shot ( lower left corner )

BTW, the Strippers on the Bay are most active in Baltimore.
