las vegas nevada fishing?

Featured Replies

i done a lot of fishing at lake las vegas and was wondering if anybody knows another good place to fish around las vegas thats not a gas tank away.  i dont have a boat so lake mead is pretty much out of the question? i appreciate any help!

Pretty much in the same situation man :(

I heard theres bass in floyd lamb state park and sunset park, but they arent stocked they just made it in. But with all the fishing that goes on daily on those lakes, who knows if there is any left. They stock trout in the winter and catfish in the summer in both lakes.

Echo bay could be a possibility, not sure how the shore fishing is like up there. I heard alot of tournys release their fish at the tires exiting the marina so if you can get down near there could be good.

Other places I was told are up in Utah, sandy hollow and quail creek. They are pretty close to st george. From the info I looked up they look like they are good bass lakes, just far. Also I heard pahranagat lakes hold bass, but its way up the 93 almost to alamo, which is pretty much the same distance as st george.

Thats all Ive found so far in two days of searching. Really you gave me the most hopeful spot so far lol.

Im in sorta the same situation, and I just got back fishing, my first outing was at floyd lamb last saturday and I cought two nice ones. but a couple of years ago, I used to go to Bowmans resevoir, in Moapa Valley that had some good bass, Im going this weekend, so I let you know.
