I am new to the forum and I have a Clearlake question. I was told that to launch a boat there, the boat has to go through an inspection or something. Does anyone out there know anything about this. thanks

    I believe the tackle store called Limitout Bait & Tackle is the one that performs the inspection and sells you the sticker. Give them a call and talk to Bob. I think its $10 for the permit.

    Just about any big water body in California demands inspections now due to the quagga mussels. When you do an inspection make sure you're boat is dry, you won't pass the inspection unless it is, whether it be rain, hose or holy water.  :-/

    You can get the inspection form at Hillside Honda in Lakeport,don't get caught on Clearlake without it...... :'(
