spanaway lake???

Featured Replies

I am thinking about trying out spanaway lake.  All the reports on it on washingtonlakes.com is mostly trout.  Are there bass in it and i'm shore fishing so is there descent places for that?  Anyone who has fished this lake and can share any info with me on it would be greatly appreciated.  Thinkin about hitting it up this weekend if I can.

Spanaway has some monster Smallies and a few 6-7 lb Largemouth.....there is a rockpile directly accross from the launch they should be at 20 ft or so but this repetitive cold front thing might slow them up a bit.

It used to be an awesome lake for largies, but someone threw in some smallies in there and they about wiped out the largemouth. It is still a good fisherie though.

As far as bank access, there is none, except right there at the launch. But you can rent small boats from teh marina right there I think they are 25.00 a day and they are row boats. Once again without a boat you are SOL, there is no bank access.
