How are you guys catching them?

Featured Replies

So how have you westerns been catching them lately?lol. Im talking with in the past 2 months. We've been having to rely on mostly drop shotting with some jigs and small swimbaits mixed in between.

Depends where we're at, lot's of bodies of water out here and a lot of them can fish very different.  I've been catching them well on a tube, jigs, some rippin, dartheads and a few on dropshot.  Couple swimbait fish thrown in and a few on a blade.

California. ;D

I am insanely jealous of that fish. Both because it is a 14+, and because he caught it at a tough lake.

hahaha a lot of times the toughest lakes have giants in them. Do you know where my town is or have you heard of it before?

4, You're killin' me!

It was at a lil' ol' lake I live next to named Folsom.  It sucks and I'm not joking haha.  Never caught anything over 8 and a half at Clear Lake.

Get excited out there on that Delta, with some warm days things could get really fun, really fast!

Sorry it took so long, I forgot I posted over here!

Folsom Lake??My cousin lives pretty close to it

Yup, I'm about 20 minutes from the main launch.  Stay on the Delta, no seriously, not joking.  I fished 2 events at the Delta this past year, fished probably 6 days there.  We weighed 25lbs one day with an 8.5 kicker, granted I had a lot of help from the man in the front of the boat who is a bit of a stud haha, but still!

Folsom can be fun, still I honestly fish there a lot because it's my backyard, I have a lot of fun fishing all the different lakes we have near us!

Hahaha trust me you don't need to tell me to keep fishing the delta. We're gonna try to pick it apart this year lol

Delta is fun place to fish... I will be up there next month for a tournament. Course here in the Fresno  area(Millerton and Pine Flat) we are still drop shotting and jigging from 30 to 50ft.  The bit is good at Pine Flat.
