Sight Fishing

5" GYCB Senko in Watermelon w/ Black flk, wacky rigged.

I think any soft plastic for me.  Senko, trick worm, tube, lizard, there all good.

Don't sight fish that much anymore BFM but I tend to agree with Jake, Senko or Zero ought to get it done. Back when, I used a straight 6" worm with a nail weight just behind the hook and a 3/0 narrow gap hook. Best color for me was electric blue, (purple with blue flake)  The fall was parallel. They smoked it.

Mine would be a tube or a jig.

Beaver and Tube

A stick.  Tie on a treble hook to the line and hook it on one end of the stick, then a leader coming off that treble with another treble attached at the other end of the stick.

Drop it right on the bed and let it sit there... after a while the bass will pick it up to clean it off of it's bed... and FISH ON!  ;D  ;)

1/2 oz. white jig

2 things i like to use a smith-wick perch color rip bait and i put a piece of foam tape on the tail and swim it right over the bed and kill it the foam tail will make the tail end rise as if a perch was about to atack the bed and "BAM" the fish will almost rip the rod out of my hand and second is a simple fluke i twitch over the bed and stop it and let it sink and fall on the bed. this method takes a couple times to acctually hook the fish cuase most of the time the fish wil grab it but not bite down they just want to move the bait away.

A stick as in a "tree" stick?

White super fluke junior.

What is your most productive bait for sight fishing? I would have to say mine is a 5inch GYCB Kut-tail worm.

I agree that the yamamato Kut-Tail worm is very productive with sight fishing.

Yesterday I was at my local pond and I spotted a couple nice 2lb bass hanging around in this small pocket...I threw 3 different things at them before they finally took it...one was a berkley sabertail grub on a small jighead...they both nuged it a dew timesbut did not eat it....the next was a 3inch berkley grub..and finally I tried the 4 inch finesse yamamato kut-tail worm laced with a bit of megastrike and when i paused the bait he inhaled it like no other ;)

Typically, any Hi Vis (white, bubblegum, methiolate) soft plastic.

Hopefully, Matt's Bluegill will become my new favorite this year.
