Need some help with a PS2

Featured Replies

My son's PS2 has quit working so I have to get him another one.Does anybody know where the best deal might be?I'd like to get the console, controllers, memory card(s) and maybe a few games.Any suggestions?

What actually quit working.  Sometimes I have to disassemble the thing and clean the cd turner so it will read again.

BTW  Ebay

Ebay is the cheapest.

However, if you are willing to spend $250, get him a Nintendo Wii for christmas. It releases soon and looks by far the best system to come out.

I've done that twice before but this time it just "blue-screened" ......I tried about 5 different games and none worked.

I will buy anything EXCEPT electronics from eBay.

Don't waste your money replacing a PS2. Just wait for Christmas and get him a next generation console like Nintendo's Wii, the Sony PS3 (if you can afford it, it is the most expensive) or the XBOX 360. I honestly don't think it would be wise right now to bother spending money on a PS2 unless he has a ton of games that he plays all the time. In that case, I guess you should try  www.half.com

if you have a GameStop near you that would be the ticket... they sell new AND used PS2s there...
