I am afraid to check,  but I am pretty sure the lakes have iced up around here as well.  We had a night or two below or at zero and day time highs in the teens.  Time to let "the fever" set in. :(

Im going to the girlfriends house for 4 days. Only way to weather this mess!!!!!

You need to get you one of them ice fishin houses....then you can take the girfriend there and keep her warm while you are fishin   8-)

I fish for fish not ice

I know what you mean muddy. It was like 50 here in northern wisconsin intill the new year. Then it had to get cold. Most of the lakes froze over within a week. But the good part is I found were a bunch of people are dumping there trees when the ice melts. I still have to call a friend to see when he wants to ice fish. I really don't want to go but I will give it a shot.

Bundle up Frostbite is not pleasant!!!!!!

We even have ice on the edges of the bay (salt)

Personally, I have been waiting for winter to get here.  Unlike Raul, I LOVE the winter.  If I were stuck in a place with a consistent climate, I would go nuts. I think I would also burn out on fishing.

Same here. Nothing worse than a mild winter IMHO.

Snow is just so much fun. I dont see why most adults hate it! Whenever we get a wopper of a storm, My friends sleep over the night before. We get up and I make a good breakfast of pankcakes, bacon, waffles (the big homede kind of waffles, not the dinky store bought ones) beans and ham. (with coffee and hot coco on the side)

Then we shovel driveways till noon, then go sledding or snowman making or snowball fighting all over town. Then we go home before dark, spend are earnings at BPS.com, and wait for the next storm. Whats not to love?

LBH.....you would hate driving the UPS truck in Nashville when it snows......no snow removal equipment other than salt, folks panic and have to go home from work thus mucking up traffic, schools close at a forcast of snow,  wrecks galore, tow trucks dream......you would be saying "What in the world?????? and your face would look like this  :o

riskkid i don't know about russ but i love delivering in the snow. most ppl go home so the streets are more empty. not to mention how well i can turn that truck around on a slick iced up road or parking lot. i love it.

You guys would be laughing way too hard at the ineptitude of how we handle the snow here.....if we get 1/2 an inch we handle it about the same as you guys would if you got 50 feet  ;D ;D

Plus the grocery stores love it because everyone has to stock up on milk and bread and they always sell out of that stuff when snow is forcasted. Snow never lasts more than a couple days but people act like they'll be snowed in for a month......it is really very amusing.

Riskkid, I am convinced that nasty winter forecasts cause people to stock up on things they don't even use...like lemmings rushing to the sea. ::) I'm with you muddy-the older I get, the less I like the cold weather.

Nathan has the 1 point turn down pretty good, lol.

He and I deliver the same areas. We work in the same center so we often meet up on the road. When it snows, we pretty much forget the office and all take care of each other in our areas with he and I as the floating helpers so as long as we work well together, all the guys around us can breathe a little easier. Unless we don't like you. LMAO

Can be fun if it's a light day with alot of snow the night before and cold temps so it's not a "wet" day.
