Relief in sight

Featured Replies

To all you guys up North:

I want you to know that I consulted with nature's meteorologists yesterday and they told me that spring is on it's way.  I was out wetting a hook at the big pond and heard the lovely sound of Canadian geese honking their way back North.

BTW, I caught only two, but they were a couple of nice two pound chunks.

It won't be long, now!!

Dang, I hope those geese gain some weight before they get back here!!

44 degrees today, calling for 60 on Saturday!! Snowed the last 3 days. I LOVE New England!!

The snow is turning into puddles here! I hope the ice breaks up soon too....

50* here today! Ol' man winter is going back to bed!

I would have caught more, but I just didn't have the arm strength to cast my crankbait that high more than twice!

and here we are,..back to the "spinning gear" argument, LMAO!! ;D

I'd be thrilled with 40*

We just got pounded with another 8-10 inches on Monday and its still below freezing here. And in last night's storm we lost power for 8 hours and froze my a_ _ off. Winter officially sucks >:( >:(  I was ice fishing this weekend and we still have 12" of ice. I am guessing at least another month until I can wet a line.

It was snowing during a brief thundestorm here in chicago today. I think it really wants to be spring but its holding onto winter here.

Saw the first Robin hopping around the yard today ...... Another nice day ..... stuck inside again :-[

It's gonna be in te 60's tomorrow around St. Louis. The 60's!!! Of course I have to work and the by the time I get out it's supposed to be storming... >:(. I can't remember the last time I wet a line...I think it was sometime a little bit after Christmas. Boy...I got the itch BAD. Can't wait! 8-)

I noticed for the first time today that trees around here are getting buds on them. That's a pretty good sign that the land is waking up after it's winter vacation.

Freezing rain coming in the morning, then snow after that for the weekend. I've cleaned and reorganized my tackle bag 6 times, gettin ansy, I need water, give me water and not the frozen kind either. I can use some sun too. Keep staring at the boat, gettin fustrated.

SPRING NEEDS TO HURRY UP!!!!

Spring is on the way, river temp. is 48*, I hear that the smallies are frisky, March flowers are a blooming, Now is the time........ ;D

Yeah I went out in the backyard and fished the newly formed lake.  Man!!!!!!  I think that the most rain we have got it quite some time.  I didn't catch anything in the backyard, but I am hitting the basement tonight.  :-? :-[

Yeah I have to agree with that KU, i dont know if you are familiar with turkey creek in merriam, but i sat in a parking lot watching it last night during the rain, it was rushing faster than any creek or river i have ever seen, if anyone would have fallen in it, they would have been a goner, it went from being almost dry to breeching its banks in less than an hour
