Any one using the Falcon FTO Tackle system?
Dan- Slide the spinnerbait between two of the uprights right where the skirt attaches to the body (right on the rubberband) and make sure the wire is facing up. Next just bend the wire down and snap it into one of the two groves on the top of the upright. Hope this helps

Where did Jon Boat come from
Nobody really knows where the term "Jon boat" originated. We do know the "Jon Boat" came out of the Ozark region. The boat was first crafted in the region for use of floating the many waterways. The first time "Jon Boat" was ever used in print was in 1919 and didn't really become a widely used term until the 1950's. Charley Barnes a turn of the century Ozark boat builder was credited with creating the name but in an interview with him he denies naming the boat and states that it's just what some people had called it. It is known that flat bottom boats of the time that were made with "Jack Pine" we're called "Jack Boats". Maybe "Jon Boat" is a distortion of this name? Guess the real answer is buried somewhere in Ozark history.

Feeling guilty.
Good bye to politics and religion. Hello to bass fishing!!!! It's a shame people take discussions on here so personal but its better to not have them at all if people are getting upset. I hope the rod and reel factions don't start fighting or we may have to shut down the fishing equipment forum. ;D ;D ;D

Man-made sweet spots
The essential oils in pine needles are a natural repellent for many insects and animals although I'm not sure of its affects on fish. I've always let the needles turn brown and shaken them off before I sink my trees just to prevent the amount of quickly decaying material I'm putting in the pond. The needles will just decay and eat up oxygen.

Solar Panels ?
They do produce larger solar panels that put out 7-10 amps but thier definitley more expensive. Your at about the same price of a generator and charger with these larger units. Generator might be the way to go in your case since you'll probably be charging at night. Solar is a opton but probably not as portable as a generator also.

walleye colors
Walley's eyes are very rod cell heavy. This allows them to have improved night vision but impares thier ability to distingush color. Contrast is the key in a walley's sight. Not only are thier eyes more in tune with contrast but they are more in tune with detecting motion.

Chances of US and Iranian conflict?
This thread has been on fire for the last few days it seems like we all need to get our butts back on the water. This has been a great topic and I've had a blast reading everyone's views. Doesn't it scare anybody that there has been so much suggestion of using nuclear weapons? While I don't believe that going to war with Iran is a necessity, the fact is war may be an inevitably. On the other hand use of our nuclear weapons has to be totally out of the question. To suggest something of this nature is ludicrous. I don't believe people grasp what today's nuclear weapons are all about. Unleashing a modern nuclear weapon would affect 100's of miles surrounding the target. Thee amount of collateral damage would be immeasurable and unacceptable. Not only would the use one of these weapons be seen as an atrocity by the worlds eyes but would set a precedent for use by other nuclear proficient countries. This is a box I hope I never see opened and would be a bleak day for all mankind if this scenario ever came to fruition. Take the nuke chanting down a notch and really think what you're asking our country to do.

Chances of US and Iranian conflict?
PRock, I do believe you have studied the Quran and read many books on this subject and may be versed on the writings of this religion but I believe you are falling into a trap like many others. You seem to me like you are going into these studies with preconceived notions of a militant Islam. I have friends who are Muslims and I have spoke at great lengths with them about their religion and its teachings. These are people who live the religion and whose families have been part of it for thousands of years. They have brought it to my attention that many of their teachings are commonly misquoted, misinterpreted and misused not only by others but by people of their own religion. A lot of the Quran is open to interpretation and in the last 1000 years it has been subtly changed from its original message. My friends assure me that Islam and the Quran have nothing to do with violence. The most recent being with the word "Jihad". This word and the Islamic teachings surrounding it have nothing to do with war or violence. There are many muslims that don't agree with what is being done in thier religions name and they are trying to get thier voices heard. Try finding a book, "The Trouble with Islam Today: A Muslim's Call for Reform in Her Faith" by Irshad Manji, very intresting stuff. She also just had an interview with Larry King.

Chances of US and Iranian conflict?
I'm sorry, but I don't buy that for a second. Whats not to buy? There are plent of terrosits all over the world who perform acts independent of any religious affiliation. Why would these people be any diffrent if there was no religion. They have other motivations and are using religion as a convinent binder in thier convictions.

Chances of US and Iranian conflict?
How many Amish Farmers, Buddhist Monks, Jewish Leaders and Christian Pastors did you see going around blowing themselves up for their religion? None. Radical Islamic terrorists are the just cause behind the terrorist attacks. My point is these people would be terrorists if there was no Islam. They are motivated by other forces than the teachings of a religion. And last time I checked a lot of acts of atrocity by multiple beliefs have been committed supposedly in the name of their religion. I'll bet there were people saying that on September 10, 2001 as well. Sept. 11 was a non-nuclear act of terror I was simply addressing the nuclear act. As far as preventing any terror attack on U.S. soil is a near impossibility. All the wars in the world will not prevent these. If we duck and run from Iraq, it shows terrorists that we are a weak country. Terrorists won't listen to reason. Last time I checked there are no countries in the world that are completely governed by recognized terrorist organizations. I agree the terrorist threat needs to be addressed but not through invading every country that may have terrorist inside its borders. Hasn't anybody had the idea that a nuclear device doesn't necessary has to be big bang bomb? Dirty bombs don't have any where near the potential to kill that a conventional nuclear device does. Large dirty bombs are relatively detectable when assembled and would be difficult to construct than buying used X-ray equipment. Besides the type of blast your describing would be relatively containable and doesn't pose much of a radiological threat to people outside the immediate blast zone. And finally Papa Rock Lots of people kill themselves in the name of Islam all the time, Imp sure in the middle east many teach Islam as militant religion, and many books have been written by people describing Jihad and the destruction of the west by the teaching of Islam. This is not Islam!!!! It's exactly what I said a perversion of the religion. Just because people use a religion to recruit people to do horrible things and twist its words and teachings to use it to their advantages does not make these people religious. I don't believe for a second Christians that blow up abortion clinics are Christian or Catholics who slaughtered in the name of the holy roman church are Catholics and people who kill in the name of Islam are not truly Islamic. I know from personal interaction with these people that their religion is not the monster it's made out to be by books, news reports or other rampant rumors.

How Do I Increase My Vertical?
"Plyo" is the way to go %100 for Basketball!!!! It will not only improve your vertical but will increase your starting speed and agility. Most Plyometric workouts can be tailored sports specific. Start with an internet search for some basic plyometric activities to work on a couple times a week and go from there. A lot of Speed/Acceleration training facilities are popping up all over, a lot of these workouts are based around plyometrics and you might want to try one of them if you want to take it further.

Chances of US and Iranian conflict?
It's an amazing how so much speculative data creates so much "Fear". Do we have any concrete data that is "public" about the state of Iran's nuclear project? As far as a nation like Iran or North Korea ever delivering a nuclear device to American soil is a mega long shot at very best. Our military has most conventional nuclear threats pretty well covered. No sub is going to come close enough to the U.S. to deliver a warhead our L.A. class fast attack subs will be sure of that. As far as ballistic delivery the US has the capability of intercepting these threats a variety of ways. Patriot, Aegis, and the newest Arrow missile defense systems are all in line to defeat these threats. Nuclear devices are very hard to transport and disguise. So called suitcase bombs are very hard to produce and aren't a likely scenario. The U.S. also tracks and can detect nuclear material through a variety of systems in place. Contrary to popular belief we are relatively safe from a nuclear threat. STOP WORRYING. All this media attention is doing one thing, creating "Fear". Fear creates money. People want to feel safe and they will spend money to do it. All these wonderful defense agency's fund themselves by increasing their budgets during a time when the American people feel unsafe. A country as a whole would have to be ludicrous to outright provoke a confrontation with the U.S. these days. While a few radical separatist may attempt attacks no government wants to bring the U.S. military machine down on them. The U.S. needs to address the terrorist threats in a different way then invading entire countries. Occupation of these countries can work, but lead to a long drawn out bloody conflict. Does anybody believe we have achieved what we set out to do in Iraq or Afghanistan yet? Can the U.S. afford to put itself in a similar situation in Iran or North Korea? We need to keep working diplomatic routes and stop being so quick to jump the gun with the military. Also I can't listen to people any more when they tie Islam or perversions of the Quran to the reason people do these horrible things. Islam is a religion and is peaceful by nature. Religions were created to bring peace, direction and unity in people. People that hide behind religion to do these atrocities can not be looked at as religious. People need to understand there is no thing as an "Islamic militant", just a militant. Its ashame that the view of Islam and people of that belief are tainted by these people actions and it's even more disappointing that ignorant people believe that Islam is out to get the western world. All I can hope for is that people are more accepting and inform themselves fully before judging people. Give peace and understanding a chance!!!! What happened to all those seventies hippies when you need them? Guess their all retired.

#%@##$ ranting!
Broken pipes are the worst. Make sure you start drying everything right away the longer you let it sit wet the more chance for mold and mildew there is. Also if the water was high enough to wick into the walls or flow into the wall cavities you'll want to make sure you dry those out also. It might require removing the bottom foot or two or drywall but if you don't the drywall and insulation will surely mold. If you're having a pro restoration crew handle it they'll most likely take care of it but if not make sure you do. Good Luck and hope everything works out O.K.

cannot cast overhanded
Take it easy when your working on a cast. I've always found its easier to find your release angle when you cast nice and slow a couple of times. Most people whip thier rods way too fast when thier trying to get used to baitcasting. I've introduced quite a few people to a baitcsting reel and I always take them through things nice a slow at first foucusing on the timing and then slowly start to speed things up and start to increse thier distance.

What the heck was this thing?
Last time I checked the sun was an "ORB". Its a spherical object isn't it? And the suns color is infact "YELLOW" spectral class G2V is in the yellow end of the sprectrum last time I checked. And actually during winter in the northern hemisphere the sun actually rises in the Southeast-East not the "Northeast-East". After that quick lesson in solar physics I guess you could assume it was the sun but the most likely explaniton of what you saw had to be LBH's FULL MOON. ;D ;D ;D
