Rainy Lake GIANTS!!!

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I go up to rainy lake every year on a father-son deal with my dad and a bunch of my friends and their dads. When I got this e-mail I couldn't believe the size of these pike!!! Both pics were taken in Rainy Lake, although I don't know exactly where they were fishing.  This is something you gotta see to believe.

(I hope I can get the pics on here, if not, I'll try putting the link up)

We used to go up to Rainy every summer.  Caught so many fish and swam many a times in the dark cold water.  As a child I was always somewhat afraid because I knew what lurked in the depths.  I'm glad to know my fears weren't unjustified.  That thing is huge.

That first picture was on a calendar this past year.  So I'm not sure your friends took that picture because I know the person that caught that little fish and had the huge pike attack it.

Ya they could've been caught somewhere else, the e-mail just said rainy lake. and from what the e-mail said, the guy in the pic is some wrestling coach, from where I don't know. But either way, we went cliff jumping on Rainy Lake a few years ago when the water was low, and I knew they had big stergeon...

I fish Rainey Lake every year. We caught LOTS of big Pike and a 53" Musky that went over 50lbs. Over 100 bronzebacks with myPB of 5.5lbs.

RW--want to go? We will take my boat and I will drive.
