can anyone identify this bug

ok these arent the best pictures but my mom found this weird bug an i was wonderin if anyone knew exactly what it could be.its eyes are like a crabs,small little beads kinda, and its grass hopperish looking from the side, i dont know if this helps or not lol

Its a Boobebug it slips up behind bees and says boobee. ;D Just joking, it looks like a mole cricket. Look at its face and see if it looks like a mole.

thanks frogtog.i searched it an that is exactly what it is.glad u said that when ya did.if you hadent i wouldnt have found out that it can fly and my dad has had it open an lets just say a lose unidentified flying bug (UFB  ;D) wouldnt go over to well inside the house LOL

Did you look at the face? Hold him up close and check his face out it looks just like the moles you see in you lawn. ;)

yea and the little digger claws/hands whatever it has in the front remind me of a mole too

They do tricks too, just hold him middle way and he will lean back and spit at you. ;D

ya and if u touch his tail end he will sqiurt out a sticky fluid that is like glue just dont put it near ur mouth or eyes wont harm ur skin though

Btw if u have a garden near a stream they will eat most of the small stuff growing the roots anyway  they love to eat roots of soft plants

BTW talking about insects if u see a BUG shaped like a leaf about 3 inches long balck or dark brown   with overlapping wings BEWARE most likly a gaint water bug these thing kill frogs,small turtles,small snakes,fish,even mice if they get in the water they have a bad bite a probiscus like a beak with a needle in it about a inch long that shoots a big load of posion in ya
