Reason number 821 NOT to go fishing with me...I'm dangerous

While out today, of course, I caught a dead branch on a tree down in the water. I was using a senko and couldn't get the hook free...Joe tried, no luck, he pulled harder, no luck. He finally yanked. Look out! The hook came free(minus the senko). The line and hook made a wicked sound as it came flying towards us. This is what a 5/0 gammy looks like without the hook.........

Did the hook go into his arm, or was that a welp on his arm from the hook hitting him? :-?

Actually, it hit his side. He had a shirt on, thank goodness! The hook didn't go into him but hey, I would have removed it for him if it would have....

I'm going to London, KY.  We're supposed to fish either Cumberland or Laurel.  Where do you fish?

Kentucky Lake, usually between Paris Landing Tn and  Aurora Ky.  KY lake is so big.  Blood River is my front yard (one of the larger bays on KY lake).  I love it!  Still trying to figure out why I'm so fortunate.

I don't bruise easily but I have one on my thigh the size of a quarter compliments of a 1/8 oz bullet weight while doing the same thing.

Suggested Fathers Day Fishing Present for your other half, I dont think BPS or Cabelas has this but I am sure he can use this

What a great idea!  But if BPS and Cabelas don't have it, chances are he won't either.  No more than he's home, chances are he'll just have to press his luck.

I once hit a fishing partner in the side of the head with a jig trailer while casting, he had red marks resembling the trailer......I didn't laugh till I made sure he was ok....then I got wet....it's quite amazing how fast a guy can go from the back of the boat to the front....least the water was warm!
