Paris on house arrest

Featured Replies

I am glad they threw her butt in jail, I mean here is someone who was driving intoxicated could've killed someone and some sheriff who is very Hollywood star friendly lets her out, and on top of that she spent 3 days in jail and they give her credit for five because they counted the days she checked in and out as complete days. I mean they gave Martha Stewart more time than that and all she did was commit a questionable transaction with her on money which did not harm anyone except her pocketbook. I do not feel sorry for celebraties at all, it that happened to the average person they would lock us up and trow away the key.

Paris Hilton ordered to LA jail's medical wing

Judge Sauer had ordered the hearing for 9 a.m. When Ms. Hilton did not appear, apparently believing that she could participate by telephone, he sent sheriff's deputies to escort her from her home.

When she arrived and the hearing began, the judge said he had received a call on Wednesday from an undersheriff informing him that Ms. Hilton had a medical condition and that the sheriff's office would submit papers to the judge to consider releasing her early. The judge said the papers describing a psychological problem had not arrived, and he interrupted Friday's court session every few minutes to state the time and note that the papers had still not shown up.

In ordering her return to jail, Judge Sauer said there were adequate medical facilities within the system to deal with Ms. Hilton's problems.

Prisoner number 9818783 was put back in a special cell isolated from other inmates amid fears the angry lags could RIOT over her special treatment.

Wardens at Paris' first jail - the Century Regional Detention Centre - even ordered a lockdown as prisoners, who thought Paris was released early pretending to be sick to con doctors, threatened a revolt.

An insider at the prison in Lynwood, California, said: The women inside the jail are seething. They say if you're a rich white girl you get special treatment.

They are furious that while Paris had her own special cell with a panic button, was given better food and was kept away from the general population, she was still released early.

There are girls in here with cancer, TB, and with MRSA. They aren't allowed to go home and are treated by prison medical staff.

The prisoners think if you're rich and pretend you're sick you can get away with murder.

Many of the girls have been locked down in their cells all day because they are so furious. The jail is full of screams about Paris.

Prison bosses fear this could simmer over into violence.

Jail insiders said Paris had sobbed herself to sleep every night. She was heard repeatedly complaining she was cold and that she was hungry because she couldn't eat the prison food.

But once back at her luxury home, Paris celebrated by inviting her family round.

A pal said she had sent her assistant shopping and arranged for her make-up artist to visit.

The pal said: It's so cruel what has happened to her. She wasn't allowed to wax or use a moisturiser. Her skin is so dry right now.

Paris Hilton was so terrified guards would snap a cell-phone picture of her on the toilet that she didn't eat or drink for three days. The stainless steel lavatory in the hotel heiress' 12-foot-by-8-foot cell was in plain view of a large window in the door, which guards could look through 24 hours a day.

"She was absolutely terrified that one of the guards or staffers would get her with the cell-phone cam and it would wind up on the Internet," a Hilton insider said yesterday.

"She didn't eat or drink a single thing for three days because she didn't want to use the toilet.

Baca suggested Hilton was on suicide watch last night, saying she would be kept under close scrutiny to ensure "there isn't anything harmful done to herself by herself, which is a great concern to me."

Baca said Friday that Hilton's "psychological problems" were worsened by the fact that she was not getting a "particular medication" she normally takes.

In a room by herself in the medical ward of the Twin Towers detention center, Hilton is crying and praying, and is extremely withdrawn, according to TMZ. A sergeant stands at her door at all times.

She spent yesterday heavily sedated in the medical wing of L.A.'s Twin Towers jail, a source close to her told The News.

Meanwhile, Hilton's friends in the Hollywood party set were losing no time trying to steal her socialite crown.

"Although her friends are saying supportive things in public, behind her back they're saying she's faking it," said the insider.

"Paris is the queen bee of her clique in Hollywood. ... Now she's not there, there is a lot of jostling for her crown. Nicole Richie is planning parties, Kimberly Stewart is planning parties, Kim Kardashian is planning parties.

"Thank God [Lindsay Lohan] is in rehab."

Sheriff under fire in Paris Hilton case

He's been accused of using his authority to benefit friends and supporters. Since taking office he's accepted thousands of dollars worth of freebie meals, sports tickets and trips.

Now Baca is facing accusations of favoritism after making the decision that allowed Hilton to leave jail Thursday to serve out her sentence at her West Hollywood home.

He dismissed that criticism, saying Friday that Hilton had been ordered to spend an unusually long time behind bars.

The union representing deputy sheriffs demanded that Baca "put a stop to his special treatment for celebrity inmates." And county Supervisor Don Knabe said he was stunned to find out Baca released Hilton without consulting the court.

"I would have thought he would have better judgment than that," Knabe said.

The county Board of Supervisors will demand a report on Hilton's release and Baca's decision-making in the matter, Knabe said.

When Mel Gibson was arrested for drunken driving, the department withheld video and audio tapes of the arrest, asserting they were exempt from open-government laws.

There were questions about favorable treatment for Gibson after a sheriff's spokesman initially said the arrest occurred "without incident" and made no mention of the superstar's now-notorious anti-Semitic rant.

Last year, the Los Angeles Times reported Baca put one of his closest friends on the payroll as a $105,000-a-year adviser.

The newspaper also said he had accepted more than $42,000 in gifts since taking office, including some from those who do business with his department.

In 2004, he took more gifts than California's other 57 sheriffs combined.

Guys...HE DIDN'T DO IT.....I CAN PROVE IT! ::)

Who really cares about Paris Hilton??  I dont care about her one iota.  It is just so hard for me to believe that so many make such a big thing about Paris.  WHO REALLY CARES???

Obviously, many people care or they wouldn't have it on TV so much.  This is a sad commentary.

Although this thread is about Paris, and the media is really hitting this story hard, it's really not about Paris. It's bigger than that, it's about a rich person being treated differently than everyone else. It blew my mind that she was released after 3 days, to the judge who put her back I say,  OUTSTANDING! He does not care who she is, he's treating her like everyone else, money or no money.

Booo Hooo Paris, you violated probation, you drove on a suspended license, you get treated like everyone else.

Enjoy the food.......Oh and no, you can't have your moisturizer, jailbirds don't need it......
