fishing shows

Featured Replies

Why is it that all the fishing tv shows come on either

1. While I am at work during the week.

2. During the weekend during the optimal fishing hours.

I don't think that is fair.  I enjoy watching the shows to try and pick up on some of the things they are doing. OLN and ESPN need to adjust their schedules. Am I the only one who has noticed this or feels this way.

I made a thread in another forum..with help of every fisherman alive we could invest in our own fishing channel. Like the golf channel, execpt fishing channel. Try buy out BASS frOM ESPN and stuff and put them on our own channel. Fishing 24/7.

A DVR is the only way to go.  Just be prepared to delete a lot of repeat showings.  I delete 10-15 shows a week that are repeats.  TODC and VS do not do a good job of adding info to their shows, so they get recorded multiple times.

If you set the DVR to get new programs only, it never gets a thing.

I guess I will have to look into TIVO or a DVR. Might have to take a cut on the tackle budget for a while.  I just think that its funny the stuff they show at prime time tv. I won't talk down on any sport, but the area that I live in they show sports center back to back to back and bicycling isn't real popular around here. At the same time when football season rolls around you won't hear me complaining. Guess I need some culturing. ;D

Do you have cable or satellite?

Dumb cycling took away almost a month of me getting to watch fishing on OLN.  Thank God its over.  >:(

You should be able to get a DVR from them for around $5 a month.

It may be higher than that, but shouldn't be any more than $10-12 a month.  I can't remember what my old cable company charged.

I pay $6 a month for a Dish Network DVR.

Frogtog,

You are good enough to have your own show. I saw your profile on the tourn trail. Hopefully I can one day be good enough to grace your presence.

Burley,

I was thinking that it was way more than that . Either way I will check into it tomorrow and see what it is.
