Ok maybe I'm the dumb one but from what I see what idiot would would hand $50 to an E-bay stranger in return for a $50 gift card?

Why not just take your $50 to BPS? Or call BPS and order yourself a gift card. If I were the seller I would be real nervous about the buyer. something just smells funny about this whole deal.

Maybe BPS has some sort of point rewards system but it sure doesn't seem like the reward would be worth the risk.

It happens all the time on ebay. Look at some of the reels. People are bidding up too what you can get one new for.

Someone once tried to sell West Virginia on Ebay.  It was up to two million before they took it off.
