Ya know I STILL can't find my jumper cables.....after you called this morning I started wondering where the heck they went...... they might be at the race shop.

Sorry to hear about the bad time you are having lately. I know that you are a strong enough person and you've certainly got the right attitude to pull through anything you'll ever encounter. I hope things start looking up for you soon.

I know you've done tons of research so this is probably a waste but you never know what might give someone an idea.

I don't know a lot about your medical - I did read your " broken fins" posts on it though. I had an uncle who had migraines not the same kind prob I know, they were somewhat dibilitating (sp?). He started seing a chiro and it did at least help make the pain manageable.

I know zero about it but have you ever thought of accupuncture?

Can social services help ease the financial burden somehow? We always dread the stigma but I'd much rather my tax money go to a hard working class act like you than a pure bread lazy butt.

I've also heard that drug companies will give away medicines in financial hardship if asked.

just some thoughts.

Have you exhausted all avenues? IE tried a different doctor? get second opinions? find a specialist with a new perspective?

In the same tone as some of the others... I'm not a major religious person but a painting I saw once kind of sums it up. A guy walking in the sand with 2 sets of prints side by side then switches to single set of prints. . Caption says " god I thought you said you would always be by my side you deserted me when times were tough". God says " the single footprints are when I carried you".

I'll keep you in my prayers tonight, Russ.  Something else to remember:

Grass doesn't grow on the mountain top.  Sometimes you have to spend time in the valleys in order to grow in spirit and character.  Hang in there!

God bless,

Fisher

I'm not a doctor, but I watched an actor who played one on TV.  Have you considered slashing your Carotid arteries to remove the blood pressure in your cranial veins?

hope you feel better dood!!  try to stay positive and you will get through it!!

Another in a cluster event here.

Russ filled me in.

Seriously though Russ,  the perzidone is working for me.  Some kinda jumpy side effects but the few events I'm having are so muted as to be a minor annoyance and they barely last.  Know need for O2 or injections.  The stuff is even a generic so my cost was $7.75 co-pay.

Excellent news for you Cart, keep me posted on how you are progressing please.  I know what you mean about the pain being "muted".  It is there but not in "icepick in your eye" levels.  This is how it was for me on Topomax.  Headache all day but no spike.  Many can't comprehend having a head ache all day and being thankful for it but I understand.  It (topo) was just dangerous.

Found a wild stat this morning.  A "normal" migraine like many suffer with expands the vessels in your head to twice their size.  Painful.  With CLUSTER however, those vessels expand to 24-26 times the normal size.  (puts it in perspective for people who are trying to understand, i.e. supporters)

Cart- a quick thread for you to check out

Wishing you many pain free days my friend

Sounds pretty much like I'm luckier than you  with my past history of this.  Fewer events and most not during the day when it could effect work,  though waking up 2,3 or 4 times a night is no joy either.
