I have Comcast internet. I keep getting a pop up telling me I am infected with various virus. Then I am urged to purchase Malware for $49.95. What should I do?

Hi 4pwr, I have Comcast out of New Haven, and I haven't received any messages. I think we have Mcafee through Comcast, I would call Comcast and ask them if it's legit.

You have been infected - but DO NOT click on the ad!! It's the virus.

Instead, go to http://wiki.castlecops.com/Malware_Removal_and_Prevention:_Introduction and follow the instructions.

Note to all - I highly recommend going to that link and following the instructions.  You will be amazed at how much junk is really on your computer.  You will learn how to clean it, and prevent it from happening again.

You also might want to get AVG anti virus program.  They have a free version that you can download and updates every date.
