I don't know how necessary it is though.  works out to be about $100 a year for service.  I suppose if I was travelling all over the world and didnt have cell phone access it would make sense, but even when I do go to places like Brazil I rent a satellite phone to remain in touch.

Great idea, thanks for in input Robert.

I saw a number of these satellite alarms in the BPS catalog and told my wife that I want one for my birthday.

Great gift to or from someone that cares about you.

When you are on the water by yourself, with a non-boater or with others you never know when you will need to alert the authorities for help.

not 100% sure,but i believe i saw on trey bretta on VS channel use that and a helicopter came and found him.A little demonstration of how well it worked.
