Tony Stewart starting the season right

;D

Earnhardt was just OK in the first Shootout practice Friday afternoon, where he was 18th out of 23 cars. Tony Stewart paced the session, going 191.290 in a Toyota Camry. Toyota drivers claimed three of the top four spots on the speed chart in the morning, giving the manufacturer hope that its first victory is right around the corner.

It unraveled in the second session, though, when Stewart tangled on the track with Kurt Busch.

It began when Stewart knocked the back of Busch's car, sending Busch into the wall. Stewart's car went low and ran into teammate Denny Hamlin.

As both Joe Gibbs Racing cars headed back to the garage, Busch deliberately hit Stewart's car several times. Stewart then stopped his car in an attempt to block Busch from entering the garage, and several JGR crew members went out to pit road to calm the two-time champion.

Both Busch and Stewart were then called to the NASCAR hauler.

;D funny story.used to be a fan but once they made the switch to toyota i had to find a new driver

Tony is a competitor, that's for sure BUT I have never liked his overly aggressive driving style. I don't recall Dale Earnhardt, who had the distinction of being called "The Intimidator", ever causing as many wrecks as Tony has over his entire career! IMO:o)

I wish they would have let Tony and Donkey Busch go at it...I would have love to see Tony knock Kurt out!!!!  ;D

Lets see what tonight brings...could be fun

rumor is tony threw a few punches inside the nascar trailer. theres going to be a lot of these wrecks, even some of the older drivers have never driven cars like these.

I wish Tony would punch someone that would punch him back. No one ever swings back......... If he punched me, I would hit him back "HARD".

Tony is an agressive driver and I enjoy watching him on TV and at the races.

I like all the drivers with the exception of the Bush brothers and Ryan Newman.

Maybe when the Bush brothers get a little older and wiser I will not dislike them as much as I do.

I also do not like Newman. He and Rusty had some problems when Rusty tried to help him and if you have a negative attitude against one of the best drivers and ambassadors of NASCAR you can do go squat thursts over a fire plug.

Tony Stewart and Kurt Busch  . . . . again . . . . . both are competitors and agressive drivers as stated by others in this thread.  IMO, I would add one more characteristic . . . . . . unsportsmanlike.  They have to act like children and throw their helmets and physically attack someone a few times each season.

I'd like to see a knock down drag out...lol...still ain't nothin like local short track racing...back in the day...I will let it go at that....
