Sorry Folks, as of today, include me out of the competition.

Apparently, Avid has been subtly informed that his sense of humor is no longer appreciated on this site, so he has decided to go elsewhere.

One of the requirements of the competition is to submit an Avid-look-alike photo.  If there is no longer an active Avid participating on this forum, there can be no legitimate timely photo submitted.  Therefore, I quit.

Umm,...Nooooo.  Avid was explained that we are getting tired of threads and posts specifically aimed to incite a reaction.  Pushing the political limits and specifically pushing other members buttons, just to get a reaction.  We just don't have the time to clean up all that stuff.  There are only 5 mods on this site, about 1/3 as many as on other sites. He was asked to chill.  It would be a shame if he takes it as "you're not wanted here"

He was not the only person to receive that communication but seems to be the only one offended by it.  One such reply was "Thanks for reeling me in".  Like I said, it's a shame if it was taken wrong, but we can't allow people to continue  going out of their way, strictly to make more work for us.

And to think, Team Diapers calls us "Grouchy Old Men!"

Glenn issued me a "final warning"

I was not banned and have no intention of deleting my profile.

I expect to post from time to time.

I sincerely hope that no one takes any action one way or the other.

Glenn is doing what he feels he has to do,

I am doing what I feel I have to do.

Avid asked me to take no action, so, in respect of his wishes, I will not.  My one and only protest is that I refuse to participate in the competion in which his likeness plays an important part.

This is a fun based competition, relax.  If you have an issue with a members "loyalties" regarding this extracurricular, FUN BASED event, please take it up with them personally in a PM.  

No need for name calling here.
