Featured Replies

I just Ordered a Rapala X-rap Walk 13 from BPS today in Silver. I was wondering if anybody has tryed this top water lure it looked like a good product it is kinda expensive but all of the new X-Rap series seem to be, but they are well worth it so far.

Looks like a great lure for saltwater ;D i dont know how good it is with freshwater fish. Good luck

What makes that bait look more like a saltwater bait fish than a freshwater one?  Are you saying this just because you saw it in the Saltwater Sportsman catalog?  Come on man.

Well, it is definitely a saltwater bait.  They come with the rust-proof hooks, and "six saltwater patterns" according to the item description from Rapala.  This doesn't mean it will not work for freshwater, but that is not what it was designed for.

I understand that it is considered a saltwater bait but look at it.  The rust proof hooks are just the same black nickel finish that most quality hard baits come with.  The "six saltwater patterns" look identical to the patterns found on the freshwater X-Rap with the exception of maybe number 50.  But even that pattern doesn't look like a mullet or a mackerel.  I am just saying that the only thing that makes this a "salt water" bait is that that is how they are marketing it.
