Rating Lures

Featured Replies

I'm interested...

Who goes onto BPS and rates the lures there?  I used to but it seems like the reviews are unorganized and lack coherency.  I think there is a better way, I'm looking for some people to help.

I do occasionally. What do you need help with?

Reviews are way to general.

"I love this bait, it catches fish" - they based that on one day

forgot to mention they were throwing it post spawn in twenty feet of water in firetiger color.

The thing is, if it got too precise guys would throw your favorite lures. I think its up to the individual to figure out what works for them otherwise they set themselves up for disappointment.

I agree with jhoffman. I have read on BPS too. most of it seems to be all for one days worth of fishing. I would rather get on Bassresource, and read about what is tried and true and give it a shot.

I never read the reviews. I go to the tackle store not to shop, I am going to buy certain items. I know before I walk in what I am going to purchase.

I pay no attention to the reviews regarding fish-catching ability. But it's possible to glean some useful information if it relates to such things as chipping paint, easily broken lips, quick-rusting hooks and similar matters.
