What is your favorite Frog to fish!?  Need help...

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have never fished using a topwater frog before, but lately I have found myself wanting to fish some thick lilipad areas, but everything I use gets snagged....

I think I may try out a frog.  What is your favorite/best frog to use?  I think I would be partial to the pre-rigged ones, not the soft plastic types you T-rig.  Don't know though.  Can you point me in the right direction for a good frog?

thanks!

if you never fished a frog i highly recommend it.  They are great big bass catchers and you can fish them where nothing else is possible.  When the bucket mouth hits it Hold On because they demolish it.  Its one of the funnest ways to catch fish.  The hollow bodied ones are my favorite and I use the spro but really like the river2sea colors.  Tip set your drag up high because them bass will go right into the grass and if it aint set high you might not get em out.

I like the Spro Bronzeye frog. My favorite color is Rainforest Yellow.

I like the SPRO bonzeye frog....I fished the *** plastic frog the other day and the action of the frog is awesome.  I can't wait to use it more.

Soft plastics - Zoom Horny Toad.  I want to try the Rage Tails in the future.

Hollow bodies - I like the "Snag Proof Bobby's Perfect".

Discontinued Lure from Ebay.... Powerpack Frog....

only problem with the lure is the dang bass bit the legs off it!!!!!!!!!!

@@@@@@ BASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use Scumfrog's Little Bigfoot. The Spro's look pretty sweet though.

i use the scumfrog with two groups of strands for legs, not sure what it is called

Scumfrog... white with green and black speckles (natural frog color). In my humble opinion, the best single bait in the world.

;)
