Mann's cranks other than 1-

Featured Replies

Does anybody throw any of Mann's crank baits other than the 1- series?  Such as the 4-, 8-, Depth Plus Series, Go2 Series, Loudmouth, Stretch 1-, etc.

I still use the 20+ Deep Hogs and a couple of old discontinued Razorback cranks. The 20+ is a very difficult crankbait to beat in my opinion, although they are quite big in size. They are my favorite for cranking deeper grassy areas.  :)Ivan

I have a 15+ but I don't know the name of the pattern.  It has a white belly, yellow sides, and a red back.  It gets deep for it's size and  I have had some luck with it.  Not my number one but I still like it.

I use the 15+'s quite a bit.  I've had to order them straight from Mann's to get the old school colors.  They have fancified the colors that are available, but I still like the old classics (e.g. fire tiger...just yellow with some black tiger stripes).  I have had decent success using the 20+ and 30+ baits when trolling in the winter.  I have caught two 7+ lb bass on the 30+ shad...hmmm...tennesse shad maybe.  It looks kinda like it made a trip to the french quarter for Mardi Gras.  I rarely cast the 20+ and 30+, because they are a pain to reel in.

J

The new C-4 shallow crank looks really good, not sure when they will be for sale though.

I fish the 20+ & 25+, but I too consider these trolling lures. The are very hard to fish.

Still have some old Razorbacks from years ago.  Break one out occassionally.  Have used the 15+ some.  Really like the Baby 1- over flats, shallow wood, tops, weeds, etc.  When the 4- and 8- came out I snatched them up ASAP.  The oval rings stuck on a couple and the paint split out on all of them.  Haven't bought anymore, won't.  Have a couple of Baby 1- left and wonder what I will get quality-wise should I buy more.
