"Bur...grrr...King"

Driving thru Wisconsin on their vacation, a couple drove into the town of Oconomowoc. They immediately began arguing about it's pronounciation. Since it was lunchtime, they pulled into a fast food restaurant for a bite to eat. Standing at the counter they asked the blonde girl behind the counter, "Before we order, would you please settle an argument for us? Would you very slowly pronounce where we are?" The blonde leaned over the counter & slowly said, "Bur...grrr...King."

;D

Lol.

Very funny.  I'm going to have to recycle that one in these parts.  The great thing is, you can insert half of Wisconsin's towns for name.  The vast majority of towns and citys around here are native American names.

As Alice Cooper said on 'Wayne's World,' ...it's pronounced mill-e-wah-que, which in Algonquin for "the good land."  LOL.

no lie... I bought my 95 Camaro Convertible there... and I lived in Manitowoc.. which was about 3 hours away :)

At least you found out you were not lost.

Funny.  The same joke has existed down here in Texas for years.  Although it happens at a "Daaaaaairrrrrry Queeeeeeeeen" in Mexia (Muh-hay-uh). ;D
