Did anybody see the 4x100 men's relay?

It was the best moment in the Olympics so far in my opinion.

The Frenchman's facial expressions after the race was priceless.

My heart's still racing.....and I'm just kicked back in the recliner! ;D

It would have been a great race even without the trash talking.  The result times where astounding.

I believe the top 5 countries broke the previous record.

Phelps shut Ian Thorpe up too. I would never talk down to that man.

Men's 400m world record set by the USA's B team on 08/09/08 was 3:12.23

Men's 400m world record set by the USA's A team on 08/10/08 is 3:8.24

That's a full 4 seconds faster!  

kind of hard to follow from Kuwait...  when does it end? I am hoping to catch at least the closing ceremony in the good ole US of A.... I did watch the opening ceremony...  it was definately different...

That goes into the "What were they thinking?" category. The Americans didn't need anymore incentive to win the race. The arrogance of the French just added more fuel to the fire.

The French were heavily favored though.

That moment made me proud to be an american just watching the Freaking TV.  That is why the olympics are great.  I love how the announcers were saying the whole way that the Americans had to be way in the lead on the final leg to win the race.  Then the final leg came and we were a 1/2 body length behind on the final turn.  I know nothing about swimming, but I thought it was over by the previous announcer comments.  It was great to watch the American run that guy down.
