I am beside myself. My tournament partner's grandson was shot and killed Sunday night when he and his girlfriend were robbed in a parking lot leaving a resturant. She was shot in the foot and he was gunned down. He did manage to put one in the killer's gut. Naturally the crook will survive.  Just don't know why things happen like they do.

The only good thing is at least it is in Texas, where you are pretty much assured the guy will get the death penalty for his crime.

Catt, I was not aware that Kathy was shot more than once so that is news to me. I understood that she was shot once in the foot, but my info is incomplete. I will send you the specifics when I get a little more info on Friday. If she is part of your family I am sorry you had to hear of it this way. Glad she is going to be OK.

Kathy Edwards is my cousin and she is married to Tim who is Katy Jeffery's uncle and Katy is Keith Labrozzi's girlfriend. Katy is a night manager for Catfish King in Lufkin and the one that was being robbed; Keith died protecting Katy.

I would get on my rant about our social structur and how LBJ destroyed it but we can't get into politics on this site, which is a good thing.

Horrible, horrible news!! I extend my sincerest condolences to all affected by this senseless tragedy. Hope the SCUMBAG killer gets the chair and SOON! I still say that bringing back public hangings should be put to the vote of the people. My opinion.
