Anyone watch the Olympic soccer matches?

Featured Replies

The USA women pulled it out again for the gold.

The brazil / Argentina semi final was interesting only to see ronaldinho demonstrating his passing the torch as the premiere player of this era to Messi.

anyone out there care?

Avid, you probably remember me trashing soccer a few years ago.  Well, that was then and this is now.  I started playing soccer a few times a week with my friend Renaldo, and he's got me hooked on it.  I've watched the Olympics matches, but I prefer watching the World Cup and the Euro Cup.

Avid,

Sorry, but I don't follow soccer and did not see the matches.

I will watch some of the World Cup matches as that is beautiful soccer but that's about it.

Waters cleared from the storm and are you back on Lake Avid fishing?  :)

A decade or more ago I watched my last soccer match. After three (?) overtimes, the score was still locked, 0 - 0. Four hours or so of nothing and the World Cup is decided on a free kick! That was it for me...

Most of the time we only have about 8-10 guys on the field.  When we play "real" games, I usually play center back.
