but if I'm anywhere near the PA line, it's Yuengling for me.

No Straubs?

Never tried it.  Any good?

Just like clothes, beers are trendy.  On the other hand, some clothes never go out of style, (e.g. jeans) and neither do some beers (e.g. Budweiser.)

For a good summer brew, try Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Has a unique flavor.

Listerine has a unique flavor, too and I guess you could learn to tolerate it it, but why would you?

Be forewarned, I'm going to harp on one of my pet peeves: Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is symptomatic of a really bad trend in brewing: more hops is better. It is just a ruse to disguise beer and ale made with inferior grains. The sad thing is that a lot of young drinkers think they are being hip by drinking overly-hopped beers.

Drink a good malty beer like Sam Smith's Organic Ale. That's what beer is all about.

I totally agree, I hate all the "micro brews" that you find in the stores. I haven't been able to figure out why so many of those microbreweries make IPAs because I think they are god-awful. Beer has become trendy and I think lots of people are drinking stuff they don't like to seem cool and sophisticated.

I like any old domestic beers but my favorites are Yuengling, Abita, and my favorite: Dixie

I got some college buddies that can drink the Pabst all day long.  Not for me.  I actually prefer some Guinness.  Such a smooth beer.

I like the hops...

I like other beers too.  Samuel Smith's nut brown ale, his great oatmeal stout.  Rolling Rock, Landshark, Corona, Bud, Michelob, Abita, St. Paulis Girl Ex. Dark, anything from Olde Towne.  The list is exhaustive.  I am pretty sure that I have never tried a beer that I just don't like.

I know that the law doesn't agree, but I figure anyone who has done a tour in Iraq like Shawn deserves the right to a brew.

While I wont disagree with that statement at all (not even a little bit), like you said the law doesnt agree.

This could end up being a long discussion with valid points on both sides, but.....well, you know what would likely happen on here, right?   :-X

I'm not "Of Age" yet either but I am in that stupid gray area between 18 - 21 that the law and courts try to screw young persons out of money for a certain dumb ticket they hand out.

I'm also not the typical go crazy underage person who does completely idiotic things after drinking a beer or two.
