Bass help!!!

Featured Replies

i live in quincy illinois and was wondering how to land those hard to get bass on land. theres a few ponds to fish here nothing to big or great. but the pond im fishing has bass, grass carp, and bluegill and other assorted small fish.

These bass are stubborn. i caught one with a live worm but it was within sight and it was mostly dumb luck. the other i almost caught but the line broke ;) and that was with a small blue gill.

Any tips on getting these bass to bite lures? What are the right lures to use? (ive never caught a bass at that pond with a lure, as i said they're stubborn).

P.S. if it matter the max dpeth from what ive herd is 5ft and this pond isnt that small its a good size...just not too deep.

i would try small soft plastics, texas rigged, weightless, maybe a baby brush hog or a 3" senko type bait.

x2 on RW's link. the man even guaranteed it...

Buy a pack of Fat Ika's and a pack of Senkos in green pumpkin and black. Drag them close to cover and the shoreline very slow. You will catch a fish.  ;)
