Mike is in the process of getting his own painting business together.  In his efforts to get up on his feet, he was selling off some (most) of his fishing gear.  

Being the true buddy I am, I agreed to purchase his swimbait combo from him.  

First of all, he gave me a heck of a deal, went to great lengths ensuring the rod made it here in one piece and also split shipping costs with me.

The reel came one day later.  When I open the box, I see a reel...and other things

Thanks for the well-wishes guys. It's something I've been thinking about doing for a while, and I just recently decided to start things in motion. I'm taking baby steps for now, picking up as much side work as I can manage while still holding a full time job at the bank in order to save as much money as possible. Been doing a lot of research into starting your own business, finding there's a LOT more to it than I orignially thought. Fortunately my twin brother Matt ran a successful painting business for about 4 years, so I'm expecting a lot of help from him!

Question though; have you checked around for local assistance in financing from the Government? I know years ago you could qualify for low interest loans under certain circumstances. Also, if you're a Veteran you can get a small business loan from the VA.

Well there's your problem...

The middle lane is designated for 85-105mph. Right lane is 65-85 and left lane is 105 on up. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle...
