Filled up SUV and bass boat for $1.35 a gallon in Bon Air, outside of Richmond, today.

The local grocery chain, Ukrops (you-crops) gives  you $.10 for ever $50 you spend as a reward towards lowering your gasoline costs so I spent enough to get $.60 off each gallon of gasoline.

It was fun filling up today.

Other stores have this benefit. I think it got started in New Jersey earlier this year.

Anyone else out there have a local merchant that is doing this?  :)

I wish they had deals like that in TN, if you spend $100 @ Kroger (grocery store) they give you .10 off a gallon.  Thats it though, you can't save up points to save more.

Oh yeh. The grocery stores around here have been doing that for a long time. You have to watch because the grocery prices are generally higher to offset the gas.  Shop the sales.  I take 3, 5 gal. gas cans with me and buy a full 30 gallons, the max.  When gas prices were lower, I sometimes got 30 gallons free.

The Sams club we have here in Danville gives $0.10 of each gallon if your a club member but thats the only place that I know of. I saw $2.35 gas yesterday! :o
